How do I join the wine club?

Click here and follow the sign up instructions and payment details and we’ll take care of the rest! You’ll be able to create a personal username and password to manager your account, address, billing info, etc. You can also gift a membership or a credit toward a membership here

When will I receive my wine?

The Quarterly club subscription plan will charge your card on file on January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st of each year. Wine will be shipped, via temperature controlled carriers, the first week of each billing month. Please note: someone 21 years or older must be present to sign for delivery.

Can you ship to a P.O. Box?

Yes, but only if your mailbox has an attendant that can accept packages on your behalf.

Can I purchase more wine?

BUT OF COURSE! Please email us at info@virgilsmarket.com for any re-orders of wines you’ve received in your club shipments or we'd be happy to source something specific for a gift or occasion. (Member discounts may apply depending on vintages and stock.)

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, not at this time.

What if I'll be traveling and need to pause my subscription?

No problem, when you sign up you’ll create a username and password which will allow you to login and manage your subscription. Simply skip a shipment if you won’t be able to receive it. You can also change the shipping address and treat a loved one!

Can I customize my shipment?

Part of the fun is that we do the selection for you! We will offer you a mix of styles of wine, some classic and traditional and some a little more funky and unique. Our mission is to celebrate the simple things Virgil loves: time with the ones you love, showing you care, a good bottle of wine whether you're getting, gifting, or sharing. We hope you'll love trying new things you might not otherwise choose and we'll make sure you have an interesting bottle and a good story to bring to your next dinner party!

However, if you need wine for a unique gift or specific occasion, we can help! Just shoot us an email and we can recommend something from our cellar or get sourcing especially for you.

Do you take product recommendations?

Our ears are open. If you think know a wine or product that is a good fit for our site, please email us info@virgilsmarket.com We'd love to hear your story. While the majority of our items are sourced from Portugal, we are happy to learn of suggested artisans from other origins.

What does the owl logo represent?

After leaving the fishing industry, Virgil worked as a barber into his early eighties. On his lunch break from work he would often leave notes for his wife and his grandchildren who he knew would be visiting after school. Virgil always signed his notes with his signature owl. The "V" for Virgil was the frame for the owl's face. Owls constantly remind Virgil's family of him and the logo was adapted from one of his original notes.
