Lavender & Citrus Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chef Sara has crafted these delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies, that pair perfectly with our Lisbon Tea Co.  wine inspired teas! Because what goes better with wine than chocolate?


1/2 cup (113 g) unsalted butter room temperature

4 tablespoons (50 g) granulated sugar

3/4 cup (165 g) brown sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 teaspoon orange zest

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon citrus salt

1 3/4 cups (220 g) all purpose flour

1/2 pound (225 g) dark chocolate bar chopped into chunks

Preheat oven to 350 F (180 C)

How to:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

In a large bowl beat the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg, vanilla and zest and beat again. Then on low speed mix in the baking soda, salt and finally flour. Mix in the chocolate chunks with a spoon or spatula.

Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking tray, adding a tiny pinch of the citrus salt to each cookie.

Bake for 11 to 13 minutes, let rest for a few minutes on the tray before moving to a cooling rack.
